The Exchange Team today announced some of the features of SP1 for Exchange 2010.
One of the biggest features, is one I’ve talked about before, the ability to provision Archive Mailbox’s onto a separate database, instead of it having to be on the same database as the users regular mailbox. This will now allow a company to tier their storage more accordingly, making this a viable solution.
Other cool features are the ability to import PST’s to users archive mailbox’s using admin tools, instead of the user having to do it through their outlook.
Another big announcement, is that by the time SP1 is released, there should be an update to outlook 2007 that allows it to connect to a users primary mailbox, and archive mailbox just the way that Outlook 2010 does.
